Welcome to our school. This school is a small rural community primary school. It takes children from the ages of four to eleven and serves Otley and surrounding villages, although we welcome applications from families from the wider community. Through the caring attitude of the staff and through close co-operation between parents and teachers we have created a learning environment, which is secure, happy, friendly and stimulating.
The buildings date back to about 1912 but were modernised and extended in 2003. The new extension comprised of an Early Years classroom, administration and staff areas, kitchen and accessible toilet. An additional teaching area was completed in May 2010, and a brand new sports hall was built in 2018. Outdoors, we have a secure Early Years play area, a large playing field and a conservation area.
Federation of Otley and Witnesham Primary Schools
The two schools are linked under a shared Headteacher and a single governing body. Each school retains its own dedicated staff and its own unique identity, whilst at the same time sharing planning and some resources, and arranging some shared activities for the children to enhance their curriculum access. The school budgets are maintained separately.
These pages will give you information about the various different 'formal' aspects to our school.
